SKELETOWNLETOWN
Welcome to Skeletown
where every day is the
Day of the Dead and
all of the inhabitants
are skeletal! Join friends
Skully and Skelly as they
find high adventure along
with Wilfredo, the worry doll,
who'll worry along the way!

This is a sneak peek at some
develpoment pieces for what
will be a series of books and
goodies. This concept is
something that I've had in
my head for awhile, but
really formed together with
a limited print that I released
at the San Diego Comic
Con in 2005. (You can see
it in the last picture here)
The world is inspired by the
Mexican folk art of Dia De
Los Muertos (Day of the
Dead)-A holiday that
celebrates the lives of
those who have passed. The
images shown here were
done just for fun, to capture
a look and feel of the world,
along with introducing
a few characters.
There was no real narrative
in mind.
Thank you for visiting!

This was a sculpture from a few years back. It shows a version of the simplified skeleton.

An early version of Skully from my sketchbook, somehow with flying powers.(???)

Another early color sketch that shows Skully and an early Skelly in the corner.

Another early incarnation on a t-shirt.

Wilfredo the worry doll is based on worry dolls from Guatemala. Little figures that one places under their pillow to make their worries go away.

Skelly's headdress (Tehuana) was inspired by the one worn by Frida Kahlo.

The first official Skeletown goodie- a tote bag! Back in stock!

Skeletown Tote Bag (U.S. Only) $15

The first official Skeletown t-shirt design.

Placement of design. Design also comes in white. Sold out, more soon!

Skelly girl t-shirt. Sold out, discontinued.

Skeletown 1 inch pin. Sold out, more soon!

Another future t-shirt design.

Just In!I made a small run of 33 shirts for this design and there was a small error with the printing of the color pink. It was supposed to look more like the image on the left, but is closer to the image up top. It's probably not noticeable to anyone else but me, but for just that reason, I'm selling these at a reduced price of $10 (Regular price $18)-while supplies last!

Skeletown Shirt (U.S. Only) $10
